Summary
Seasonal Convenience Plan (SCP) allows you to pause all the services on your account when you leave your Florida vacation home for the season for the low rate or $8.00 per month. You don't need to disconnect or schedule appointments for any equipment. Just let us know when you are leaving and when you are returning, and Summit Broadband will automatically put your account on SCP and then restart all your services when you plan to return.
This article provides instructions for enabling SCP when you leave your Florida home and how you can disable SCP when you return.
Reminders and Restrictions
- You can select to put your account on SCP one time every twelve months.
- You must pause your services on SCP for a minimum of three months, and you may leave your services paused for a maximum of nine months.
- You do not have to turn in any equipment, and your entire account with all services and equipment is covered with the low monthly fee of $8.00 per month.
Steps
To pause your services on SCP, follow these easy steps.
Enable Seasonal Convenience Plan
- Click your Customer Name in the top right corner of the My Account screen.
- From the menu, select Seasonal Convenience Plan.
- On the Seasonal Convenience Plan page, you can use the calendar to select tiles. Use the date arrows to advance or go back by one month at a time. You can click on the day tile to select the Start Date. You can also enter the date in the Start Date box.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You cannot start Seasonal Convenience Plan for a past date. The date you start SCP must be on or after the current date. When filling in the Start Date box, you must format the date as MM/DD/YYYY. - Select the desired End Date. This is the date you plan to return to your Florida home and want services restored. Use the left and right arrows at the top of the calendar to navigate to a different month.
- Three months is the minimum period to enable Seasonal Convenience Plan.
- The maximum period for Seasonal Convenience Plan is 9 months.
- The Review and Confirm dialog box displays. Click Confirm to set your Seasonal Plan dates.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Seasonal Plan can only be set up once per calendar year. Once your Seasonal Plan start date passes, you will be unable to request a new Seasonal Plan period for another calendar year. - The screen refreshes to display a message below your Customer Name that Seasonal Plan is now active, with the selected Start and End dates.
NOTE: Seasonal Plan will not impact your services until the Start Date, so you can continue using your services as normal until the schedule period begins. - Click any option on the left navigation panel or the menu under your Customer Name to navigate to another screen.
Disable Seasonal Convenience Plan
If you return to your Florida home earlier than anticipated, you can end the Seasonal Convenience Plan and restart the normal operation of your services.
