Summary
This article provides step-by-step instructions to complete a search for Summit Broadband services available in your neighborhood. If we do offer services in your area, you can even select services, choose a package, and find out what your monthly rate could be without having to talk to an agent on the phone.
Steps
- Navigate to https://fiber.summitbb.com/.
- Enter the service address in the Street Address box.
- If the customer has an apartment or condo, enter the unit number in the Unit # box.
- Enter the ZIP Code in the ZIP Code box.
- Select Residential or Commercial in the Service Type box.
NOTE: Customer Support normally services Residential customers; however, some business owners may want to use the CrowdFiber tool to determine if they can get service for their business.
- Click GO.
- If you are moving to a new address, you may get a confirmation box explaining that service already exists. If so, click the I am Moving to This Address box.
- Verify the map view correctly shows your home or business location. If so, click Next. If the map view does not show the location, drag the map pin to show the correct location.
NOTE: the map pin can be moved on either the satellite or street map view. - If your home is in an area we serve, you will see the Congratulations! screen.
- If you live in an area where we will be providing services soon, you will see the Pending Construction screen.
NOTE: If you see the screen above, you will be asked to complete steps 7 and 11, but the rest of the process will be skipped. - If you live outside an area where we serve or will be soon providing services, you will see the Service at this address is currently unavailable screen.

- If you live in an area where we will be providing services soon, you will see the Pending Construction screen.
- Scroll down and complete the required information fields:
- Firstname
- Lastname
- Email address

Phone number
Select the My billing address is the same as my service address checkbox if you receive your mail at your house. If you have a PO Box, leave the box unchecked. Click Next.
- On the Select Your Services screen, review the service options available for your address. You may find a variety of Internet speeds and phone calling plans available, depending on your address. At the bottom of each set of plan details, you will see the monthly rate.
- As you build your shopping cart of selections, you can see on the right the monthly charge for the services you have selected.
- When you have selected your services, click Next at the bottom right corner of the page.
NOTE: You may have to scroll down to find the Next button. - If you have selected phone service, you will be prompted to indicate if you want to keep (port) your existing phone number or if you want a new phone number.
- Complete the brief survey to help us better understand your needs and expectations from your new service. When finished, click Next.
- On the Review & Submit page, review the options you chose and verify the installation and monthly pricing. When you have completed the review, select the I have reviewed and agree to all Residential Terms and Conditions checkbox.
NOTE: You can click on Residential Terms and Conditions to read them before you select the checkbox. - Click Submit. The Thank You for Signing Up page appears. A Summit Broadband representative will contact you within a few business hours to schedule a time and date that is convenient for you to install and connect your services.
Things to Remember | Next Steps
- Business hours are 8 am - 6 pm on weekdays and to 5 pm on Saturday. We will not call you to schedule an appointment after 9 pm or on Sundays.
- If you have an existing phone number you want to port to Summit Broadband, be sure to let the Sales Representative know when they call to schedule your appointment.
- During the scheduling phone call the Sales Representative will take a prepayment for the services as part of the confirmation process for the installation appointment.
- A technician will come to your home to install and connect the optic fiber and necessary hardware.
- The ONT (the device that converts the light from the optic fiber to signals your router and phone can use) and router will require electrical power. Consider where you want the technician to install these devices before they arrive.
- If your home has never had fiber optic service before, the installation can take up to three hours. Be sure to account for this when you choose a time for your installation.
