Summit Broadband values your privacy and security. Our Home Phone service offers features to help you limit unwanted calls. For more protection from unwanted telemarketing calls, you can also sign up with the National Do Not Call Registry.
Enable Privacy Calling Features
Summit Broadband offers a number of convenient calling features including several that can help protect your privacy from unwanted calls.
Anonymous Call Rejection
- Enable Anonymous Call Rejection:
- Disable Anonymous Call Rejection:
You can enable Anonymous Call Rejection by pressing *77 before dialing a number. With this feature turned on, callers who don't share their Caller ID information (including a lot of telemarketers) won't be able to call you. You can turn Anonymous Call Rejection off by pressing *87.
NOTE: With Anonymous Call Rejection turned on, you can't receive calls from friends or loved ones who have Private numbers or who turn off their outbound Caller ID information.
Do Not Disturb
- Enable Do Not Disturb:
- Disable Do Not Disturb:
You can turn on the Do Not Disturb feature by pressing *78. With this feature turned on, your phone will not ring no matter who tries to call you. You can turn off Do Not Disturb by pressing *79.
NOTE: With Do Not Disturb on, you cannot receive any incoming calls from anyone on your Summit Broadband Home Phone line.
Selective Call Rejection
- Add a Number:
If there is a particular number you know to be a spam number or an unwanted caller, you can keep that number from calling you by adding it to your Selective Call Rejection list. Press *60 and you will be prompted to add a number to your blocked numbers list.
