Install SBB View on Android TV
- Go to the Android TV Home screen and click Apps.
- Select the Google Play Store app.
- Search for the SBB View app.
- Click Install. SBB View will now appear in your Apps.
NOTE: Once installed, the customer can then add it to their favorites.
Watching live TV in the SBB View App
You have two options for watching live TV with the SBB View app from the home screen. You can select a show that is Trending Now or select a show from the Guide.
Watch from the Home Page
From the Home page, select one of the shows that are Trending Now. (Note the progress bar beneath the show.) On Android TV, once you select a show, it immediately begins to play in progress.
Watching from the Program Guide
Open the Program Guide in SBB View on the Android TV.
- While a show is playing, press the OK/Select button on the remote you use with your Android TV device. A menu of options will open onscreen with the Guide in focus.
- Click Guide, which then opens.
NOTE: If you do not select an option within five seconds, the options disappear. - Select a show and press OK.
Filtering Channels
- On the Guide, scroll left past the current show. The Filters menu opens.
- Select a slider button to toggle filters to Show Favorites Only, Show HD Only, or Show Subscribed Only.
- To close the Filters menu and save your changes, scroll right.
Using Closed Captions on SBB View on Android TV
To toggle closed captions in SBB View on your Android TV, use the following instructions.
- While playing a show, press OK to bring up options.
- Click Closed Captions to open the Closed Captions screen.
- Options will focus on Closed Captions.
- Select Default Language or Off to toggle closed captions on or off.
- If you select Customize Formatting, you will leave the SBB View app and be able to set preferences for Android TV.
- Press the Back button on the remote to exit the Closed Captions screen.
