Connecting the Amino 7x to a TV
- Turn your TV off.
- Connect the power adapter (included with your Amino 7x STB) to the power port (labeled 1 on the image above). Do not plug the other end of the power outlet into the wall yet.
- For the best performance, connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the Amino 7x STB (labeled 4 on the image above).
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on your Router.
- Connect one end of your HDMI cable to the HDMI port (labeled 2 on the image above).
- Connect the other end of your HDMI cable to an open HDMI port on your TV. Consult your TV's manual for the location and number of HDMI ports it has.
- Plug the power cable for the Amino 7x STB into a standard wall outlet. The LED labeled Power will glow red.
- Turn on your TV and press the Power button on the left side of the front panel of the Amino 7x STB. The LED labeled Power will glow blue.
- Using your TV's remote, change the Input to match the HDMI port you plugged the cable into in step 6 above.
You will see a splash screen for SBB View, and the firmware will verify that the latest version is loaded. Once that process is complete (it may take 5 - 10 minutes), the SBB View Home screen will display.
Connecting the Amino 7x to Your Wi-Fi
Connecting the Amino 7x Set-Top Box (STB) for your SBB View service to your in-home Wi-Fi network is quick and easy. Follow these steps to connect or reconnect to Wi-Fi after a power outage or service disruption.
- From the home screen, navigate to the Settings on the left.
- When the pop-up window appears on the right, navigate to System and press OK on your SBB View remote.
- Under General Settings make sure Network & Internet is highlighted then press OK on your SBB View remote.
- On the Wi-Fi menu, look under Available networks. You should see your home wi-fi network listed. If it says not connected, select it and press OK on your SBB View remote. Then enter your wi-fi password. Once the password is entered, your wi-fi network should display Connected.
Using the Catch-Up Guide
- Using the SBB View remote, press the Guide button.
- When the program guide displays, press the Left Arrow to display the extended Guide menu.
- From the extended Guide menu, select the default option, Open Catch-Up TV Guide.
- Press OK.
The Catch-Up Guide displays. You can scroll left to go back up to 72 hours to select and watch a program that has aired within that time.
- To return to the current Guide, scroll right until the menu displays, and select Open Live TV Guide.
Features and Restrictions
When you select a program that has aired within the last 72 hours, you can:
- Watch the program from the beginning.
- Record the program manually by pressing the Record button.
- A program you record while watching will always be recorded from the beginning of the show.

Q: How is SBB View different from traditional cable TV service?
A: SBB View offers you an exceptionally high-quality video experience, but with services and flexibility that were not available on traditional cable TV service. You can watch across a wide range of devices from set-top boxes to media players to mobile devices, you can access content when and where you want, and with your new set-top box you have access to the broadest range of content with easy voice-controlled access. Whether you watch TV in your living room, by the backyard grill, or on the go, SBB View offers you an exceptional experience.
Q: What equipment do I need?
A: To watch SBB View, you will need an Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection. You can either watch on a set-top box or your own device – or both – it is your choice. Supported consumer devices include:
- Apple TV
- Amazon Fire TV
- Android or iOS mobile phones, tablets
- More platforms and devices may be available in the future
Q: Can I Set parental controls?
A: Yes – follow these instructions.
- Access Parental Controls from the Settings Menu.
- To enable Parental Controls, you’ll first set a 4-digit PIN.
- Once enabled, you can block shows and movies based on their rating (for example, PG-13 or R content).
- To watch blocked content, you’ll need to input your pin. Otherwise, it cannot be watched.
Q: How do I add or remove a device from my account?
A: Whenever you add the app to a new device and log in, that device will be added to your account. To manage your active devices, use the Settings option on the Home Screen.
Q: How do I record a show?
A: On set-top or media player - To record a show, simply select a current future show from the Guide and you will be offered the choice to record. Or, if you are already watching a show, press the Enter or OK button on your remote to pull up the Play Controls, then select Start Recording.
On your mobile device - To record a show, tap on a current or future show from the Guide and then tap the Record icon.
Q: How do I set favorite channels?
A: On set-top or media player - When watching a show, use the Enter button to bring up an options menu, then select Add to Favorites. Or from your mobile device, tap the channel, then tap again to Add to Favorites.
On mobile device - Tap on the Logo for any channel and then tap Add to Favorites.
Q: How do I see my favorite channels?
A: On set-top or media player - From the Guide, use the left arrow button on your remote to scroll backwards through the guide until the Filters screen appears. Then activate the Favorites filter.
On Mobile Device - From the Guide, use the Filter Channels drop down menu to select Favorites.
Q: How do I see shows that I can start over?
A: On set-top or media player - When watching Live TV, use the Enter button to bring up an options menu, then select Catch-Up Guide. Look for the Catch-Up icon on the Guide to see content you can restart or catch-up.
On mobile device - From the Guide, look for shows with the Restart icon under the title.
Q: How do I access On Demand content?
A: From the Home Screen, select On Demand in the menu bar. (On mobile devices, this can be found in the Home menu in the upper left corner of the screen.)
Q: How do I find and manage my recorded shows?
A: From the Home Screen, select My Recordings. Here you can watch recorded shows or delete shows you no longer want to save. (On mobile devices, this can be found in the Home menu in the upper left corner of the screen.)
Q: Why can’t I start my show from the beginning?
A: Only select programs or channels offer the Restart option. If you don’t see the option to restart the live show, that means this particular program or channel is not available for Restart viewing.
Q: Can I watch and record at the same time?
A: Yes! You can watch and record from any device, including a set-top box or any media player or mobile device.
Q: Do my favorite channels carry over to each device?
A: No. Favorite channels specified on a set-top or mobile device will stay with that device.
Q: Can I still watch on a TV?
A: Yes! You can watch on TV using a set-top box or a compatible streaming media player or smart TV.
Q: Can I customize my channel lineup, so it only lists the channels I want to watch?
A: Yes! From the Guide you can view just your Favorite Channels or Only the Channels you Subscribe to. (This feature may not be available on all devices.)
