To find your Wi-Fi network name and password, look on your router.
A white label (sometimes with a barcode) is affixed to the chassis of the router, usually on the bottom or the back of the device near the power or Ethernet ports. The label displays both the default SSID or Network Name and the default Passphrase or Security Key for the device. This label is provided by the manufacturer and the default Network Name and Password are encoded in the device firmware.

Wi-Fi network security
Security experts recommend you change your SSID name and password. The user manual for your router will show you how to do this.
Things to remember
- If you change the SSID name and password for your Wi-Fi network, be sure to make it something secure that you can remember.
- If you change the SSID name and password and then forget it, you may have to do a factory reset of your device.
- Also remember that when you change the SSID name and password, you will have to use the name and password on every device and computer you us to log into your network.
