This article provides guidance for using Voice Search on the SBB View remote with the Summit Broadband SBB View set top box.
- Navigate to the Home screen by pressing the Home button on the remote.
- Select the magnifying glass icon (Search).
- The search screen displays. Search accepts both alphanumeric (using the arrow keys on the remote to select keyboard keys) and voice search. Navigate to the microphone indicator on the screen and select it.
NOTE: Due to Android requirements, the first time you start Voice Search, you will have to acknowledge that you allow the device to accept voice input. - The screen displays the message, Listening...
- Speak into the microphone (at the top of the remote). The text displays briefly at the top of the screen, and then the matching programs display below.
- Use the arrow keys on the remote to select the desired result.
Reminders
- Speak clearly into the microphone and pronounce words correctly.
- Do not use voice search when there is a lot of other noise in the room (other people having conversations, loud radio in the background, tv volume turned up).
- Speak key words for the program you want to watch. Examples: NFL, Father Brown, The Masked Singer, college football, Antiques Road Show, Justice League
- You can also specify a network or channel and say Tune To [Network/Channel]. For example Tune To Channel 37 or Tune To CNN.
