Sometimes issues with a set-top HD receiver or DVR can be resolved with a simple power cycle, which means disconnecting the unit from power for a few seconds and plugging it back in. Your DVR and set-top HD receivers are like computers that process signals from Summit Broadband. To power cycle this equipment, follow these steps.
- Disconnect the unit from power. You can either unplug the power cable from the wall, or if it's easier to reach you can disconnect the power cord from the back of the DVR or HD receiver.
- Wait 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the unit to power. Plug the cable back into the wall or reconnect it to the back of the DVR or HD Receiver.
- Turn the cable box on using the Summit Broadband remote.
