If you have the optional Battery Backup Unit (BBU), it is usually installed in the same cabinet as your Optical Network Terminal (ONT). The BBU provides several hours of dial tone for your Summit Broadband Home Phone service.
The BBU does not provide emergency power for your TV or Internet service in the event of a power interruption.
