Updated App
The Plume Home app is the updated version of the Plume HomePass app, which has reached End of Life (EOL) for support. Plume urges users to download and migrate to the Plume Home app. Plume HomePass will continue to function, but it will no longer receive any updates or maintenance or bug fixes from Plume.
Managing Extenders
Extender management is optional for users since the cloud will manage most extender-related functions. However, extender management also includes tools for checking network health. Some extender management tasks, Such as adding an extender, deleting extenders, deleting gateways can be disabled in the Plume Partner Portal.
Identify existing extenders
Because this app feature uses Bluetooth (BLE), you need physical access to the extenders and this feature is only available if the OpenSync-enabled CPE hardware acting as extenders support Bluetooth (BLE).
- While in the Connectivity tab of the Network page, open the Topology option.
- Tap the Options button in the top-right of the Topology page and choose Identify existing extenders from the pop-up menu.
- Move near one of the extenders and wait until the app finds it. Touching the extender with your mobile phone can make identification easier.
- Choose one of the built-in names from the list. The Custom option lets you enter your own. Tap on Save.
- The app will now start scanning for the next one. Move close to the next pod and repeat the previous steps until you've found all of them.
