How do I program my Synergy remote to control my TV?

This article provides instructions to program the Synergy^TM Remote to control TVs and Other Devices.

Choose Code By Brand

Use the printed instructions and table of brand codes in the user guide that came with your Synergy^TM Remote to search for the correct code. See the Programming Device Control section in the remote user guide. If you do not have the user guide, you can use our online Remote Control Programming Tool.

Search for the Correct Code

You can program your Synergy^TM Remote to control your TV and other devices. There are two stages to the process:

1. Put your Synergy^TM Remote into Code Search Mode.
2. Search for the correct code to control your TV or other device.

Enter Code Search Mode

1. Use the remote that came with your TV or other device to turn on that device.
2. Press and hold the and buttons on your Synergy^TM Remote until the button flashes twice.
3. Release both the and  buttons.
4. On your Synergy^TM Remote press 9 - 9 - 1 to enter code search mode.

Search for the Correct Code

1. To search for the code to control your TV, press 1 on your Synergy^TM Remote; to search for the code to control a different device, press 3.
2. After pressing 1 or 3, the button on your Synergy^TM Remote will flash twice.
3. Point your Synergy^TM Remote at the TV or other device you want to control.
4. Press and release the button on the Synergy^TM Remote until the TV or device turns off.
   NOTE: You may need to press and release the button numerous times before the device turns off.
5. When the TV or device turns off, press on your Synergy^TM Remote to lock the code in.
