How can I record live TV with my Synergy DVR?

You can record a show on your DVR that you are currently watching, or you can set your DVR to record a show that has not aired yet. You can even set your DVR to record a favorite series so that you never miss an episode!

Recording a Show While Watching

To record a show with your Synergy^TM Remote while watching it:

1. Press on your Synergy^TM Remote.
2. The DVR will start recording and automatically stop recording at the end of the designated time slot for the program.

Set Your DVR to Record a Future Show

1. Press on your Synergy^TM Remote to access the Channel Guide.
2. Use the Arrow Keys to navigate to the channel and timeslot of the show you want to record.
3. Press  on your Synergy^TM Remote.
4. The DVR will start recording at the time and channel when the chosen show airs and will automatically stop recording at the end of the time slot for the show.

Set Your DVR to Record a Favorite Series

1. Press  on your Synergy^TM Remote.
2. Use the Arrow Keys to navigate to the Search icon.
3. Choose a search option: Keyword, Category, or Title.
4. Press .
5. Use the on-screen keyboard to search for an episode of the show you want to record.
6. Press on your Synergy^TM Remote.
7. Use the Arrow Keys to select Record Once or Record Series and press .

Using Recording Options, you can set your DVR to record only new episodes of a series or include all episodes, including repeats.
