With your permission, Summit Broadband agents have the ability to log into your router to make changes directly. For example, a TSR may wish to change the channel your router is using to reduce WiFi congestion and improve performance.
NOTE: The Router Comm option allows the TSR to remotely access your router. This option will not function when you use techFiX without a TSR working on your account.
You must select the Router Comm option in the app in order for the agent to log into the router. Once that option is selected, the agent will be prompted to log into your router by its IP address.
Note that if you have your own router or if have set up a custom network name (SSID) and passphrase, the TSR may ask for your login credentials in order to complete the remote access.
