The techFiX app supports taking images and sharing them with customer care. These can be used to show the back of a box or the LEDs on a box if it would be easier for the TSR to understand a picture rather than a verbal description of the problem you have detected.
Sending a Photo with the App
To take a photo, you need only select the Send Photo button. The app will access your phone's camera like any other photo app and will allow you to snap a photo and send it after confirming it is the one you wish to use.
If the agent annotates and sends the image back, it immediately appears on your phone as long as you have the window open. The agent can continue talking to you and share their mouse pointer on your phone's screen to indicate specific areas or annotations of the image for you--for instance, pointing out a specific cable the agent wants you to unplug, or a specific port where they want you to connect a loose cable.
When you receive an annotated image from Customer Care, it may look something like this, with indications where the TSR needs you to look or focus on the device you photographed.
