SBB techFiX is a new diagnostic and troubleshooting app available to Summit Broadband customers.
When you use the app, SBB techFiX runs scans of your in-home WiFi network to identify devices with slow connections, interference from other WiFi networks, and other potential issues. After a scan, SBB techFiX will recommend troubleshooting steps without the need to call a Summit Broadband Technical Support Representative (TSR).
If you decide to call for Technical Support, the TSR can use recent scan results to see issues that you have detected and pinpoint the most effective troubleshooting steps to resolve them. This saves you time on the phone and gets your issue resolved more swiftly, because you've got better things to do than troubleshoot your broadband service.
SBB techFiX can help with more than WiFi troubleshoooting. SBB techFiX lets you choose if you want to share pictures or video from your tablet or mobile phone with Summit Broadband TSRs. Video or pictures can show the TSR error messages you receive, menu options on a screen, how cables are connected to your Summit Broadband set top box, DVR, or other devices. And you are in control. You choose what images or video to take and share with the TSR.
